Film Review - The Tudors Season 1 Created by Michael Hirst

The Tudors is a costume drama set in the renaissance dynasty under King Henry the VIII. King Henry was more interested in pleasure and sport than ruling. He grows distant from his first wife Catherine and plots for a divorce from her.

Cardinal Wolsey stands behind the throne and manipulates his power for his own means. Henry falls for Anne Boleyn and plans to make her his next wife with Wolsey's help. Unfortunately for the king not all goes to plan. The series provides an interesting and eye opening insight to the characters of the royal court with their greedy and power hungry schemes and political agendas. Anne
